The High School Liaison Program encourages young women in their senior high school years to consider a career in the capital markets and to enroll in the necessary math and other courses required for post-secondary education
High School Classroom Presentations Volunteers from the High School Liaison Committee visit Greater Toronto Area (GTA) high schools to speak to students about careers in the capital markets. The presentations are interactive to encourage open discussions and focus students on the skills that they need to acquire for a successful career. If you would like more information about the presentations, please visit our High School Classroom Presentations page or contact highschool@wcm.ca.
Job Shadow Day Every year, since 2004, Women in Capital markets has invited high schools in the GTA to send two female students in Grade 12 with an interest in business, math or economics to spend a day on Bay Street. The day features an interactive workshop, a lunch presentation profiling women with diverse careers in the capital markets, and an afternoon of job shadowing with a mentor who works in the industry. Job Shadow Day is typically held in April of each year. If you are interested in having your school participate, please visit our Job Shadow Day page or contact us at highschool@wcm.ca.
She-Biz WCM participates in the Rotman Business School of Management's She-Biz Symposium for female Grade 10 and 11 students held each year in November. She-Biz is organized by Rotman MBA's Women in Management Association (WIMA). Please stay tuned for further information on this great event.
