The Mentorship Program offers career guidance to relative newcomers to the capital markets industry. Over a one-year period, experienced mentors share their advice and perspectives with protégées through monthly one-on-one meetings. Mentors offer insight, guidance and advice on career development and advancement, as well as work/life balance.
The WCM’s Mentorship Program runs from January to December. Protégées are matched with mentors based on their number of years of experience, career goals and interests.
This Program provides a great opportunity for less experienced women in the industry to meet and learn from more senior professionals. Protégée’s must be a member of WCM and have at least one year of current work experience in the capital markets, while mentors — either male or female — must have a minimum of five years experience. The majority of our mentors have worked in the industry for a decade or more.

How it Works
Each January, protégées are matched with mentors based on their work experience and career goals. Monthly meetings are then arranged by the protégée. The time commitment is approximately two hours each month.
Program Benefits
The WCM Mentorship Program provides protégées access to a broader networking base and an opportunity to understand the workings of the industry from a professional with different experiences from themselves.
For mentors, the program is an opportunity to share knowledge and insight. It is also an opportunity to give back to the community and help shape future leaders.
